Description
Wonderful, beautifully detailed 16k gold antique Etruscan Revival brooch and matching earrings, all with dangles. The brooch also has a small hook used for hanging a small watch or pendant.
The brooch measures about 1-3/16″ wide by 3/4″ tall, 1-1/4″ tall with dangles. The pin amethyst is 12 x 9mm, estimated at 3.00ct.
The earrings have screwback closures. They measure 3/8″ wide, 7/8″ tall, and 1-3/8″ tall with dangles. The earring amethysts are 7x9mm, estimated at 1.50ct each.
The brooch weighs 4.1 grams, the earrings weigh 4.8 grams, 8.9 grams total for the set.
The jewelry is not marked, but acid tested to be at least 16k gold.
This estate set is in excellent condition.
There is a small amount of oxidation on the left side of the brooch, mostly noticeable with magnification. Also, some repairs have been made during the life of this jewelry. The original closure (possibly C-clasp) has been replaced with a more modern safely clasp in base metal. The earring screwbacks are also not original, the earrings may have been converted from pieced backs.
