Description
Beautiful, museum quality sterling silver turquoise heishi ceremonial necklace with spiny oyster, red coral, and mother-of-pearl accents on the jacla. This is a handmade vintage necklace, circa 1950s.
The drop height of the necklace (from the turquoise at the neck to the bottom of the jacla) is 11-3/4″. The decorative sterling silver/spiny oyster station, decorated with silver curlicue wire and red coral cabochons, measures 2-1/4″ tall and 1-3/4″ wide. The jacla drop is 5″ long.
The sterling caps at the neck and the top of the jacla are etched with a pretty flower design.
A delicate sterling chain fastens the necklace with a fish hook clasp. The necklace is adjustable, from about 16″ to 18″ length max length.
Total weight is 125.2 grams.
This vintage necklace is from an estate sale. It is not signed, so tribal affiliation is not confirmed. It looks to us like old pawn jewelry.
One of the spiny oysters is cracked; please see photos for details.
The necklace is in otherwise very good estate condition. Please view photos closely. As is.
